Knee)
The patellar tendon is the fibrous band that connects the lower portion of the kneecap (patella) to the large bone of the lower leg (tibia).
"Patellar Tendinitis" is inflammation of the patellar tendon and is often called " jumper's knee". Patellar tendinitis most commonly occurs with repetitive impact or jumping activities and is common in running, climbing, and sports such as basketball and volleyball. It is also common in soccer and other "kicking" sports. The main symptom is pain just below the kneecap (patella).
